Welcome: A Q&A With Major
Well, hello!
I’m Major, and I’m beyond thrilled to launch my new site and to welcome you to my blog.
To get things going, I’ve conducted a Q&A with myself to share some background information. And I high-fived myself at the end.
Circle back weekly for new stories and send suggestions my way! And, if you catch me cruisin’ down Orlando Avenue sipping cold brew blasting NPR, wave at me!
Let’s ease into this…
Q: What’s your favorite color?
A: Grey or gray— whichever spelling you prefer is good with me. I know, it’s not the most popular color, but it’s a pretty solid neutral in my closet.
Q: Where are you from and what do you do for a living?
A: I’m a New York native turned avid Orlandoan. I split my time as the owner of Whatever’s Good PR and Major’s Project Pop, an organic kettle corn company.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work with consumer, travel, food, tech, health, and nonprofit brands throughout the country, and to plan some of the coolest events. I also love wellness, so check out my Instagram to follow my fitness and eating chronicles. Mostly eating, though.
Q: What are your favorite podcasts?
A: Welp, this list could get rather long, but here we go:
1A (NPR)
Code Switch (NPR) by Gene Demby
On Point (NPR)
Transformation Church by Pastor Michael Todd
Can you tell that I love NPR? I’ll spare you by not sharing the entire list. P.S. My best friend and I recently launched a podcast!
Q: Favorite things to eat and drink?
A: Narrowing my selections down is challenging, but here are my choices:
Eat - Healthy Day: A bold, hearty salad | Cheat Day: Fries, baby!
Drink - Iced Coffee. Once a day, any day from Dandelion Communitea Cafe. (RIP)
Q: Where do you find inspiration?
A: Someone recently asked me this, and I loved the way it allowed me to have an introspective moment. I discovered that having refreshing conversations with people just does it for me. To me, there’s nothing quite like stirring up aspirations and being reminded of what God has promised me, while in the presence of great company.
Left wanting to know more? No worries, you’ll be reading a lot from me. If you’ve got time, leave a note in the comments with a fun fact about yourself.
